Turtles become Scientists

As part of our Frozen topic we became Scientists.  We learnt about how to conduct a fair test and made predictions about which beakers of water would freeze and why.  We then thought about the quickest way to rescue dinosaurs which had been frozen into blocks of ice and timed how long it took each method to break the ice.  Some of the options the children chose were: salt, sugar, hot water and banging the ice – which do you think melted it the fastest?
